As part of our ongoing efforts to support volunteering and community engagement, we are excited to announce the relaunch of our Volunteer Centre, including our new online Volunteering Platform (Volunteer Plus) to support your Volunteer recruitment.

Our new database offers you the ability to register your opportunities online and keep your information up to date, as well as enabling prospective volunteers to search for roles and to register their interest in your opportunities.

We are really excited to help facilitate meaningful connections between organisations like yours and potential volunteers who want to contribute their time and skills to the community. By centralising volunteer opportunities and ensuring that information is up to date, we aim to make volunteering as easy as possible for both volunteers and organisations alike.

To register your Organisation, and then upload your Volunteering Opportunities, please click on the link below, and then click on the 'Register' button on the top right of the page, and select 'Organisation' on the drop-down menu:

Local volunteering opportunities in Newark, Sherwood, Rushcliffe & Broxtowe (getvolunteering.co.uk)

Please ensure that you include as much details as you can about both your Organisation and the Opportunity. I would encourage you to fill in all of the boxes – including the 'optional' information. This will ensure that potential volunteers have accurate information about how they can get involved and support the work that you do. We are finding that the more detail that Organisations put about themselves and their Volunteer Opportunity, the more interest they get from prospective Volunteers browsing the site. Prospective Volunteers can search by postcode, interests, keywords, and activities. Be sure to include as many keywords as you can on your listing.

If at any point you have enough Volunteers for a particular role, then please make sure that you log in and 'Archive' the Volunteer Opportunity. You will still be able to see it on your 'back office' – so if you would then like to reactivate it at a later date – it is very easy to do – and saves the hassle of having to type it all in again.

Once you have registered your organisation and your opportunities, as soon as we approve them, they will go live on our website. They will also be automatically advertised on the national 'Get Volunteering' website.

If for any reason you are unable to log in, or you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help.

Help us to spread the word

If you could please spread the word about the relaunch of our Volunteer Brokerage Service within your networks. Encourage other organisations and individuals to take advantage of this platform to connect with volunteers so they can find opportunities to give back to their community.

We're really excited to launch our new and improved service and we hope that you enjoy using it too! We can't wait to start building stronger connections across the voluntary sector and linking potential volunteers with exciting opportunities in their communities.

We will be in touch again soon, to let you know of further opportunities, including the development of the Volunteer Coordinators Network, within both Rushcliffe and Broxtowe.

We really value your feedback so please don't hesitate to get in touch with any suggestions or questions you may have.
